Dr. Laura Lindsey is a family physician who has been in practice for over 20 years.  She received a B.S.  degree in psychology from North Carolina State University.  She is a graduate of Medical College of Ohio. She completed her family medical residency at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.  She had a solo practice with her husband in Russellville, Alabama for 17 years before joining Avalon Medical Group.  Dr Lindsey joined Avalon in January 2021.  She is welcoming all new patients and accepts all insurances.  Dr. Lindsey is board certified in Family Medicine and is strongly committed to Family Medicine and to working with patients of all ages including newborns.

Dr. Lindsey is married to Dr. James Lindsey, a clinical psychologist, who also relocated to Avalon Medical Group.  They have one son Jackson, who is in college.  The Lindseys live in Russellville, AL and enjoy many outdoor activities including golfing, hunting, and all sports.
